It is gloomy and gray outside as I write this. However in less than 2 months…
…it will still be gloomy and gray.
BUT registration for summer 2020 will open around our area for summer camps and activities for children. And that means that 2 months after that it’ll be SUMMERTIME! Speak Your Mind will be accepting registration for Summer 2020 speech camps beginning on March 1. All the information you need to know about these groups are included on this page.
Groups will be intensive in frequency and duration.
Groups will be considered “full” at 4 students per group. Groups will not run if they do not reach an enrollment of at least 2 for that segment. [early talker groups will close at 3 children] However, if your child is the only one enrolled you will be given the option to roll in to individual therapy.
There are no registration fees for enrollment. Tuition is due on the first meeting day of the week. You can enroll for the entirety of the summer and pay weekly or you can pick and choose weeks in which you will attend the group.
In order to qualify for these programs a current Speech-Language evaluation is required. This can be provided from your child’s school, another practice, or can be completed at our practice.
SOCIAL LANGUAGE GROUPS
These groups of 2-4 students will focus on social language and building skills to increase social communication. Groups will run 4 days a week for 1 hour each day. Groups will be divided by age and skill level as appropriate.
EARLY TALKER GROUPS
These groups of 2-3 students will focus on play therapy and developing early word development and increase in mean length of utterance. Groups will run 4 days a week for 45 minutes each day.
ARTICULATION GROUPS
These groups of 3-4 students will focus on articulation and increasing articulation skills during the summer months. Groups will run 4 days a week for 1 hour each day. Groups will be divided primarily by speech sound errors but age will also be a consideration.
Segment 1: June 15 - June 26
Segment 2: July 6 - July 17
Segment 3: July 20 - July 31
Cost will be discounted if attending the entirety of a segment. By weekly rates also available.
